Many people have a great longing to make a pilgrimage on the Way of St. James. People from all over the world have always set out and followed a wide variety of routes to Santiago de Compostela, where the tomb of the apostle James is said to be.
There are many reasons to make a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, but it often starts with the longing to embark on the famous Way of St. James. There is much that this pilgrimage entails - it is a way of change, a way of hardship, a way of hope and joy. A very personal path – it is the path to yourself.

Some decide to walk the Way of St. James alone in order to make new contacts along the way, to look forward to interesting conversations without prejudice - or simply to let the silence work on them. Others, on the other hand, prefer to be in a group because they feel more comfortable and look forward to spending time with like-minded people, acquaintances, friends or their partner.
